Most of what
matters happens
in rooms you
are not in.
Six things, done directly.
- Investments
- Our own capital into early consumer companies, and we stay involved after the wire.
- Incubation
- We find the equity already sitting in a name, and build the brand it should have had.
- Growth
- Marketing, distribution and the partner deals that open a channel rather than decorate one.
- Advisory
- Structure and terms, agreed before the work starts rather than after it.
- Introductions
- A small number, made when there is a clear reason for two people to know each other.
- Venture creation
- When an opportunity has no owner, we start the company ourselves.
What we are actually in.

Why Max DiFillippo.
Max grew up around hospitality and business, and went into fashion and creative work early. Photography, casting, brand building, consulting.
The relationships accumulated on their own, across hospitality, fashion, entertainment, sport, consumer brands and the people starting them. None of it was a network in the way that word is normally used. It was just years of being in the room.
What became clear was that the most valuable thing he did was never the marketing. It was seeing the opportunity first, knowing which two people belonged in a conversation, and building the business around what happened next.
Million Group is that, formalized.
[PLACEHOLDER: one specific story in Max's own words. The moment he realized this was the job. This paragraph is the difference between a firm someone believes in and a firm someone reads past, and only Max can write it.]
A network is only worth what it is protected from.
We do not monetize access. We use relationships selectively, when there is a clear reason for two people to know each other.
That restraint is the only reason an introduction from us is worth taking.
We work in two directions.
You have the company. You need the room.
A product that holds up, and no way to reach the person who could change its trajectory. We take a position, make sure it is ready to be seen, and put it in front of someone with a reason to look.
You have the name. You need the business.
Your name opens a conversation you have no interest in running. We build the venture behind it and structure the terms, so the opportunity becomes a business rather than a favor.
If there is a specific reason to speak, write.
